Autoflame Fault Finding and Repairs

When an Autoflame system locks out, the controller usually already knows why. Our Autoflame certified engineers read the fault history, trace the root cause and get your boiler back online, without guesswork or unnecessary parts.

Common Autoflame Faults We Fix

  • Servomotor positioning errors: failed servomotors, loose couplings or wiring faults.
  • Flame failure lockouts: faulty or dirty UV scanners, ignition problems or poor combustion.
  • Valve proving failures: leaking gas valves or pressure sensor faults.
  • Air proving faults: air pressure switch or fan problems.
  • EGA faults: blocked sample lines, failed sensor cells and calibration errors.
  • Communication errors: faults between the MM, EGA, sequencing and BMS or Modbus links.
  • Display and controller faults: on Mk8, Mini Mk8 and legacy Mk6 and Mk7 units.
  • Steam boiler alarms: water level control and blowdown faults.
  • Variable speed drive faults: on the combustion air fan.

How We Handle an Autoflame Breakdown

  1. Triage on the phone. We take the controller model, fault codes and symptoms so the engineer arrives prepared.
  2. Read the fault history. We use the controller’s logs to go straight to the likely cause.
  3. Repair. We replace or repair the failed component with genuine Autoflame parts.
  4. Recommission. Where a repair affects the fuel/air curve, we check and recommission it.
  5. Report. You receive written documentation of the fault, the work done and any recommendations.

Legacy Systems

If your site still runs Mk6 or Mk7 controls and parts are getting harder to find, we’ll repair what can sensibly be repaired. Where an upgrade to Mk8 makes more sense, we’ll explain why. See Autoflame Commissioning and Retrofits.
