  • Poor fuel/air setup. Electronic cam burners are left running high excess air across the modulation range, which wastes gas every hour they fire.
  • Wrong combustion head settings. Heads not matched to the boiler’s actual firing rate cause rumble, pulsation or an unstable flame.
  • Repeat lockouts. Lockouts get reset as one-off faults instead of being traced back to the gas train, the air pressure switch or the flame detection.
  • Mistuned low NOx models. BLU models adjusted like standard burners push NOx and CO outside their limits.

All of our engineers hold current Gas Safe registration for commercial and industrial gas work. Every job comes with full documentation: Gas Safety records, commissioning sheets and service reports. You’ll have what your compliance files, insurers and warranty conditions require.

Riello FAQs

How often should a Riello burner be serviced?
At least once a year. Burners on process plant or running long hours often benefit from a six-monthly visit. We’ll recommend a schedule based on your running hours and application.

Do you work on Riello burners fitted to other makes of boiler?
Yes. Most of the Riello burners we service are fitted to other manufacturers’ boilers. We service the burner and check the boiler it fires at the same visit.

Can you upgrade an older Riello burner?
Yes. Depending on the boiler and your goals, the options include replacing it with a current low NOx or electronic cam model, or retrofitting Autoflame combustion controls. We survey the plant and advise on what makes financial sense.
